We work with universities, government agencies, and civic institutions building decentralized technology programs without established playbooks. Example: Design Baltimore Gateways — a $450,000 open design competition backed by Baltimore Development Corporation. From one-time event to long-term digital ecosystem

Rather than treating exhibitions as one-time events, we view each as the beginning of a long-term digital ecosystem. Artworks become digital collectibles, educational content, immersive experiences, licensing opportunities, archival assets, AI training datasets, cultural storytelling, and revenue-generating Digital IP.

Why Digital IP matters

The value of public art no longer has to end when the ribbon is cut. Historically, value ended at installation; today, digital infrastructure allows cultural assets to continue creating value for years afterward. Through Digital IP frameworks, tokenization strategies, immersive media, and AI-powered experiences, cultural organizations create new economic opportunities while preserving ownership and artist attribution.

How XR Agency recruited, trained, and retained a global builder community for a cutting-edge AI/blockchain protocol — in 90 days.

We designed the MeTTa Omniversity program with St. Joseph's Institute of Technology in Chennai, embedding AGI-focused curriculum inside a working university — roughly 40 developers per cohort trained on SingularityNET's MeTTa / Hyperon stack, South India's first AGI bioregional hub.

MeTTa — the cognitive architecture powering SingularityNET's next-generation AGI stack — had a fundamental adoption problem. The language was powerful and genuinely novel, but it sat behind a steep learning curve with almost no onboarding infrastructure, no builder community, and no clear path from "curious developer" to "active contributor."

The protocol team needed more than a tutorial page. They needed an entire ecosystem: recruited builders, structured learning, supported projects, and the infrastructure to retain them after the first cohort ended.

Key milestone

At the conclusion of the program, MeTTa had a functioning developer community self-sustaining in Discord, 3 active GitHub repos with regular contributions, and a defined pathway for the next cohort — all operated by community members rather than protocol staff. XR Agency produced a full ecosystem playbook documenting every recruitment channel, curriculum module, support workflow, and retention trigger — giving the MeTTa team the infrastructure to run future cohorts independently.

Kenyatta University · ESA-KU

Hands-on AI and reasoning-systems training for Nairobi's engineering students — where the builders keep a permanent, co-owned stake in everything they ship.

Kenyatta University engineering students — MeTTa Hyperon Incubator with XR Agency and BASIX Market

In partnership with the Engineering Students Association at Kenyatta University (ESA-KU) in Nairobi, XR Agency — through its BASIX Market platform — is bringing hands-on artificial-intelligence and reasoning-systems training to East Africa's engineering students, beginning with the MeTTa Hyperon Incubator and its build, incubation, deployment, and venture pathways.

ESA-KU acts as the community partner and local bridge to its engineering student body; XR Agency and BASIX Market are the programme and venture partners — recruiting and onboarding students, delivering training, mentorship, and technical guidance, and carrying the projects they judge viable through to incubation, managed development, and deployment. The programme is offered to selected ESA-KU members at no cost to the association or its students.

Builders own what they build

What sets this apart is ownership. Every student project developed on BASIX Market is jointly owned by the platform and the student builders, recorded in a signed Ownership Schedule before anything is deployed or monetized. That stake is vested and permanent from the moment it's recorded: it can't be diluted, bought out, reassigned, or extinguished without the written consent of everyone who holds it — the students included — and it survives graduation, a change of the company's ownership, or the end of the programme. If a project is later licensed, tokenized, or sold, every holder shares in the proceeds in proportion to their recorded stake.

It's the same conviction behind our Baltimore practice, applied to talent instead of public art: create the work once, and let the people who made it keep owning its value for as long as it exists.
